Every child learns in their own way — and that’s a beautiful thing. If your child has unique needs, this 30-day journey is still for them. The key is grace over pressure, connection over correction, and adjusting the activities to meet them where they are.

Here are some supportive tips to help:

🧩For Children with Autism

• Use visual supports. Simple picture cards, visual schedules, or step-by-step photo guides can help your child feel secure and understand what’s expected.

• Repeat and reinforce. Repetition helps build comfort and confidence. If they enjoy a skill, it’s okay to do it more than once!

• Create a calm space. Some activities may be overwhelming. Give them a quiet spot to regulate and return when ready.

• Honor their special interests. You can adapt activities to match their favorite topic (like trains, animals, or colors). Learning through joy sticks!

🗣️For Children with Speech Delays

• Model language, don’t pressure. Talk naturally and clearly as you do each activity. Describe what you’re doing with short phrases.

• Celebrate sounds and signs. Even if your child isn’t speaking words yet, using sounds, gestures, or picture cards counts as communication. Praise all efforts!

• Sing and rhyme. Songs and rhymes build rhythm, memory, and language — even if your child can’t sing along yet.

• Wait and watch. After asking a question, pause and give them time to respond, even if it’s just with a gesture or eye contact.

⭕For Children with Big Emotions

• Stay calm, stay close. Big feelings often mean your child is overwhelmed. A calm, steady adult helps them regulate.

• Name the emotion. Say things like: “It looks like you’re feeling frustrated. That’s okay. I’m here to help.”

• Use transitions. Let them know what’s next with countdowns or a “first–then” routine: “First we color, then we clean up.”

• Allow flexibility. Some days might be too much. You can always try again tomorrow. One skipped activity doesn’t stop progress!

💫Remember This:

You are your child’s greatest teacher and safe place.

This book is a tool, not a test. Adapt what works, skip what doesn’t, and always choose connection first. God has trusted you with this child for a reason — and with His help, you’re doing a beautiful job.
